POWER YOGA – This Hatha Yoga class offers an eclectic blend of Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Iyengar. It is best if you have dabbled in yoga for a year or more and are ready for Level II. Participants who include cardio and strength training weekly are a good fit for this class. The pace is fairly fast with fewer breaks and modifications than with a beginners or mixed level yoga class. This variety can be physically challenging, increasing your heart rate and building muscle.
RESTORATIVE YOGA – The Art of Active Relaxation This is a therapeutic style of yoga which utilizes props to make it easier for the body to get into certain poses, and thus, surrendering to the pose. The focus of this class is relaxation, renewal, effortlessness, ease and a completely supportive environment. Experience is not necessary.
ZUMBA GOLD – Zumba is a dance-fitness class that is set to zesty Latin music, like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggae ton. Zumba Gold takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant. |
