The mission of the Bulverde Senior Center is to serve the needs of the senior citizens in this rural area, to help enrich their quality of life, to provide educational programs to fit senior needs, to bring health and exercise programs to them, to provide opportunities for socialization and community service, and to help seniors remain active and self-sufficient. We also have an associate membership for those who are not quite the senior age, please see our membership page for additional information.
We strive to provide a friendly meeting place for our seniors to gather socially as well as a place to keep our bodies and minds active and productive to enjoy a good quality of life.

Proposed Change to By-Laws of the BSC
The Bulverde Senior Center Board of Directors may create Advisory Committees and proposes the creation of an “Advisory Committee consisting of Past Bulverde Senior Center Board of Directors Presidents and selected Community Leaders to assist in major decisions of the Bulverde Senior Center Board of Directors regarding the Bulverde Senior Center.”
Proposed DBA Name Change for the Bulverde Senior Center
As we look into securing the future for the Bulverde Senior Center it has come to our attention several times that many people don't understand what we do here and assume we are more of an assisted living home, a nursing home, or an Adult Daycare facility. As the new generation are reaching the qualifying age to join the Senior Center they are very turned away by the word "Senior." If you look at many other Senior Activity center, many of them are in the process of changing their name and rebranding themselves. This makes the good business sense. We are not looking to official change our name, but would like to add a "Doing Business As." The boards of directors have downsized our suggested names to the following 4 names. We are still open to other suggestions. Please provide us first with a vote of yes or no for the addition of the DBA.
